Must Love Music Tuition Rates

We all want value for our money.  Investing in piano lessons means you are also investing in quite a bit of behind-the-scenes work to make yours, or your child’s, ideal piano lessons.  “Where Does Your Music Tuition Go?”  provides details on where your tuition goes.

Lessons options:

  • 45 minute lessons:
    • Recommended for students that do better with individual instruction
    • 30 minutes at the piano
    • 15 minutes lab time
  • Lab time programming:
    • Recommended for families that will have 2 or more students taking lessons.
    • Each student receives 30 minutes at the piano & 30 minutes of lab time
    • Two students are taught concurrently in the same room.
  • 60 minute lessons:
    • Recommended for individual students who would like full lab time programming or more advanced students
    • Mixture of at the piano & lab time programming will be given to student, depending on their level.  For the majority of students this will be 30 minutes at the piano & 30 minutes lab time.

* For individuals living outside the designated travel area, an additional driving fee will be added to our regular fees.  Please contact us for details.

* Tuition rates will be increasing for the 2017/2018 year to reflect the increased costs of providing lessons (i.e. carbon tax & credit card processing).

  • Programs run from September to June. Start dates and holidays match the Catholic School district.  We are closed during Christmas and Spring breaks.  Please see our calendar for specific dates.
  • Registration is not complete until the registration fee (for new clients) & all documentation is signed.
    • When using cheques to pay for tuition, post-dated cheque(s) for all TEN months must be provided at the time of registration.
    • ALL cheques must be dated for the first of the month.
  • Tuition fees must be paid on time.  Late payment can result in the cancellation of the contract.
  • Tuition can be paid annually, by semester, or monthly.
    • Annual payment will be processed September 1st.
    • Semester payments will be processed September 1st and January 1st.
    • Monthly payments will be processed the first of each month.
  • Cancelled lessons:
    • Lessons cancelled in writing at least 24 hours before the lesson:  The option of a FaceTime lesson or video lesson will be provided.  If videos are not provided by student of their songs before the missed lesson, a video lesson will be forfeit.
    • Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson will be not be given the option of a FaceTime or video lesson.  The lesson time is forfeit for that week.
    • No refunds or makeup lessons are given for missed lessons.  Clients purchase a piano program that includes much more than the travel time & teaching time for their missed lesson.
      • Some of these activities include prep time before their lesson time, searching for repertoire & activities that best fit the student, reviewing student progress both from lesson & over the course of the year (annual growth plan).   “Where Does Your Music Tuition Go?”  provides details on where your tuition goes.
