Hopeful and thoughtful, “Possibilities,” an intermediate piano solo, lets you explore Autumn as a season of fresh starts through lively 6/8 patterns. 

Inspired by Autumn as an unofficial New Year, “Possibilities” captures how a season of fresh starts can feel both exciting and, at times, a little too full of options. 

“Possibilities” Level:

 “Possibilities” brings an optimistic, reflective mood which is wonderful for intermediate piano player who love exploring the contrast between Major and minor colours. This piece highlights dotted eighth to sixteenth note rhythms and tied notes across a lively compound meter.

Scale-like sixteenth note patterns and seventh chords weave through both hands.  The left hand carries familiar 6/8 patterns while the right hand explores fresh techniques and rhythms. The ‘possibilities’ span up to four ledger lines.

The D.C. al Coda bring this joyful, occasionally overwhelming season full circle with a satisfying fermata and molto ritardando along the way.
