The rhythms include 8th note triplets, plus eighth + sixteenth note patterns to create syncopation.

This piece uses broken chords and some scale patterns as the foundations for dual practice in keyboard geography.  And “Nowhere I’d Rather Be” provides an introduction to basic polyphony with a held note either under or over the melody.  Not only does this train students right from the start, but they can play notes that outline the chord or provide a stepwise melody.
