Explore beautiful yet simple harmonies in “Our Seasons of Change”, a poignant, peaceful piano solo. This piece is designed for teen and adult piano players who want a “sounds harder than it is” piece. You will love the calm, peaceful mood as you play or listen.
“Our Seasons of Change” Level:
“Our Seasons of Change” is a peaceful, calm elementary piano solo that sounds more complex than it is to play.
- Mode: F Major and D minor (no accidentals needed)
- Time Signature: 4/4
- Concepts: tied notes, chord bridges, hand position shift when moving between Major and minor (using sequences means it is a shift not a jump), fermata, hand-over-hand arpeggio (uses text to indicate the hand)
Starting finger numbers are included as well as circled finger numbers to indicate hand position changes. This piece has a single-line melody with chord bridges. Both hands play in the treble clef range. There are no accidentals even with the key changes.
The rhythm is augmented to create level-appropriate phrases that start mid-measure. The smallest note is a quarter note. Tied notes are either full measure or 6 beats total.
When the key changes, focusing on the sequences (same pattern, different starting note) breaks down this piece into manageable chunks.
“Our Seasons of Change” Bonus:
All sheet music comes with original cover art. “Our Seasons of Change” comes with tips for mastering the piece.
More About “The First Autumn – Soundscapes” Collection:
“Our Seasons of Change” is part of “The First Autumn – Soundscapes” collection that celebrates teen and adult beginners. Harmonies are simplified to create a complex soundscape without the need for more advanced techniques. These great level-appropriate recital pieces will be a hit with your students and audience.
This collection is more appropriate for teen and adult beginners who began several months earlier so they can successfully play the harmony and melody.

- Our Seasons of Change: Explore beautiful, but simple harmonies.
- The Harvest Moon: Relax with this reflective, peaceful piece exploring hand-over-hand arpeggios.
- The Storm Is Upon Us: Explore dark percussive patterns with chords in many forms.
- Walking in the Fog: Create a mysterious soundscape with 2-note slurs.
What Is a Studio Licence?
When you purchase “Our Seasons of Change” you get a studio-licence PDF of the piece. This piece is sent digitally via an email receipt. If you have a multi-teacher studio, please contact Rosemarie directly for additional licenses. Thanks!
A studio licence is a great way to stretch your studio repertoire budget. Purchase music once and use it for years (even decades) with students you directly teach! For online teachers, if you share the piece during online lessons, students must print immediately and not retain an electronic copy.
For more information on your studio licence, check out the Terms and Conditions page.
When you purchase a collection of piano solos, everything (sheet music, piece descriptions and “Composer notes”) is placed in one PDF for easy access. As a bonus, you also get each piece in the collection as a separate PDF for students who will only play one piece.
Should I Print All the PDF Pages?
Yes! Each page is designed with the piano player in mind.

Students love a bit of cover art. It can help them get into the mood and story of a piece. I’ve included ways to adapt or play with the music so students become part of the creative process.
The copyright and licensing terms are included to ensure you know the terms of your licence. Your license means this product can be printed, but not shared. However, if you are a piano teacher, check the “Shop Terms of Service” for user-specific ways you may use this product.
