What Is A Piano Warm-Up Activity?
Piano warm-ups are a fantastic way to bridge off-the-bench movement with practical application on the piano in an interactive way! These are great for:
- Private lessons: Focus on a particular concept for extra practice while also providing a routine start to lessons.
- Group lessons: Help students get focused on the start of lessons by starting away from the bench, then moving to the piano to play.
- Online lessons: Moving away from the screen is fantastic for students to feel the lesson is more interactive!
Each of the 10 warm-ups is a mix of off-the-bench and playing to solidify the concepts. By changing up the activities, students explore through hearing, singing, and playing.
Everything is included in your PDF so you can easily differentiate for each student in your studio. Ideas are included for students that need extra time on a chord progression or students that are finding it easy.
These also make great videos for your studio’s social media marketing or a fun studio challenge!
